The best way to escape those UK winter riding blues is to get away for some fantastic riding amongst the beautiful summer scenery of New Zealand. We are excited to be working with our friends at Singletrack New Zealand to bring these brand new holidays to life. On offer are both a two and a three week off road tour where you'll discover all the best trails, stunning scenery and so much more that both the North and South Island have to offer
There are two holidays available both fantastic cycling adventures to the other side of the world. Both holidays are a vehicle supported tour around NZ visiting all the best riding spots and beautiful vistas.
The 2 Week Tour
You will be met at Queenstown Airport by the Singletrack New Zealand Team. These guys have grown up riding, exploring and racing on the fantastic trails your tour will take you on. There can be no-one better to provide you with one of the most memorable cycling experiences you can hope for.
The Tour starts in the spectacular lower South Island where you will ride the best alpine and lake-side trails in Queenstown and Wanaka. The terrains and landscapes of New Zealand vary greatly but each area holds a new suprise, a bunch of breathtaking views and miles of great biking. We take in some sweet coastal trails in Christchurch followed by the spectacular scree riding and craggy beech forest of Craigieburn. The West Coast is next with lush rain forest and challenging climbs before the coastal splendour of the Marlborough Sounds. Sunshine and beaches mark the completion of our adventure in Nelson in the North of South Island.
The 3 Week Tour
The first two weeks of the 3 Week tour follow the same route as the 2 Week Tour. You get to experience the delights, scenery and excitement of the South Island as well as one week touring the North Islands treasues.
From Nelson, you'll take the inter-island ferry to Wellington in the North Island for some rocky (and sometimes windy) singletrack before heading north through volcanic Tongariro and the swoopiest singletrack in New Zealand in Rotorua. Finally, we reach the cool little beach town of Whangamata in the beautiful Coromandel for our final singletrack (and maybe some surfing) before departing from Auckland.
If you can manage the extra week off work the rides, culture and scenery of the North Island really do make it worth your while and round off the perfect 'trip of a lifetime'!
