An abundance of fun-packed trails

Moab never fails to live up to the hype when it comes to the mountain biking either. The grip on the bare sandstone is unbelievable and the fierce, fast flowing trails that have evolved from Jeep tracks will take every ounce of your concentration but leave you begging for more. This place is a Mecca for mountain bikers, and for good reason.

The town of Moab itself boasts a lively atmosphere both day and night as well as an abundance of great local shops, an outdoor public swimming pool, water park and museum along with friendly locals and a wide variety cafés and restaurants to suit all palates. Most establishments are locally owned too so you can savor local culture properly without having to resort to American fast-food chains like in so many other places.
The Holiday
Mountain biking holidays - Moab, USA
Stunning views over the Colorado River canyons
The trails on this holiday are like nothing you'll have ever ridden before. Under your tyres will roll a whole mixture of terrain, but all with a unique Moab twist. The fast flowing singletrack trails are adorned with more technical sections than you can imagine: drops; ledges; rock gardens; loose sand; hard-pack sand and large expanses of slickrock, all of which make up the thrill of riding in Moab. This holiday is called Moab Rocks for a reason, but even if you can't ride this terrain when you arrive you'll be an expert by the end of the two weeks!

Moab is situated on the eastern edge of the Utah desert, meaning the weather plays a big factor in the holiday. Temperatures can reach well above 30°C in the afternoon, so although this means you are almost guaranteed glorious blue skies to compliment the stunning sandstone scenery, it also means we ride first thing in the morning to avoid the intense heat. This also means that your afternoons are free for you to relax and enjoy the numerous other activities offered around town.

The town is a vibrant mix of outdoor enthusiasts, Native Americans and Mormons amongst others and as such you can relax in small boutiques full of locally made treasures or take a thrill ride in a Hummer across the back country of the Utah dessert. Whatever your interests, you won't be short of something to do in between the rides.

Throughout your holiday you will be staying in a luxury hotel situated in the heart of Moab and all transfers to rides, excursions and transport between Denver airport and Moab are provided by Ride the World in comfortable, air conditioned mini-vans.
